On 7-9.09.2022<\/strong>, a conference was held to summarize the three-year project “3D Digital Silk Road”<\/strong>, financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The conference was held in Uzbekistan at three universities – project partners: the National University of Uzbekistan<\/strong> (Tashkent), the State Pedagogical University in Chirchik<\/strong> and the Samarkand State University<\/strong>. The conference was attended by over 50 academic teachers, employees of Uzbekistan museums, doctoral students and students.<\/p>\n

At the conference, 31 papers were delivered on the issues of digitization of the cultural heritage of the Silk Road and its history.<\/p>\n

The interdisciplinary conference was also a kind of report on the implementation of the “3D Digital Silk Road” project.<\/p>\n

The papers presented the results, achievements and problems related to the implementation of the project tasks: digitization of the Silk Road monuments in modern Uzbekistan, scientific cooperation and popularization of monuments on the silkroad3d.com website.<\/p>\n

During the conference, a multimedia exhibition “Uzbekiscanning: LUT’s Scientific Expeditions 2022”<\/strong> was presented, presenting the course of scientific and practical expeditions carried out in 2022 as part of the NAWA “3D Digital Silk Road” project.<\/p>\n
