Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which prevented the implementation of the project tasks related to mobility between Poland and Uzbekistan, actions were taken to modify the scope and schedule of the project. The scope of changes has been agreed with NAWA. On November 28, 2020, an annex to the contract was signed. The project implementation time was extended by 1 year, i.e. until 30/09/2022.
The main changes to the design include:
- change in the form of implementation of the first scientific expedition of employees of the Lublin University of Technology (LUT) to Uzbekistan on a virtual expedition: 3D scanning of objects will be carried out by Partners in Uzbekistan with the remote assistance of PL employees and a borrowed scanner; scan data will be sent to PL for further postprocessing;
- introducing additional tasks: conducting remote training in the use of the scanner, which will be used by Partners during the first expedition, organization of an additional web-conference “The Silk Road – Asian and European cultural heritage” with the publication of materials in the scientific journal “Protection of cultural heritage”, preparation and publication of research articles on the project in indexed journals and international conferences.
On 11/12/2020, a remote meeting of project participants (coordinators from LUT and Partner universities) took place using the zoom.us platform, where changes in the project were presented and discussed.
